The Goal of
4Given Ministries
It
is a known fact that music quickly and easily enters the heart and affects
behavior. It can bypass our intellect and go straight to the
soul. The soul is what develops our core, our psyche, our character,
our mind, our disposition, our outlook, our nature and our awareness of
who we are. Ultimately, it affects our whole attitude.
Unfortunately, kids often listen to secular artists before they even
listen to their parents. The tragedy is that the messages that these
artists often bring, lead today’s youth into self-destructive behavior
patterns. 4Given seeks to reverse this trend and raise a standard
for Jesus Christ by doing concerts, having informational booths, doing
outreach ministry, as well as, churches, community events and special
programs.
4Given
International Ministries is a sibling gospel quartet that seeks to
transform the lives of children and adults alike through its ministry of
four-part a cappella harmony, creativity, jokes and poetry. It is 4Given’s
conviction that kids and adults who are impacted by the truth of God’s love, and
are taught how to be leaders, will make positive contributions to society. This
ministry also encourages parents to get more involved in their children’s lives.
It is 4Given’s desire to help people develop into whole individuals and
to build up a healthy self-esteem which leads to better life choices. Here are
some areas confronting today’s youth in which 4Given seeks to affect
change:
·
Staying in
school
·
Staying off drugs
·
Positive peers: changing the lives of other kids
·
Giving hope to homeless kids and foster kids
·
Those kids who feel left out and forgotten
·
Kids struggling with low self-esteem
·
Kids who have made bad decisions
·
Kids who have had numerous sexual partners looking for approval
·
Leadership skills in youth
